About me
Hey there! I'm Rosaura, a violist, music teacher, and lifelong learner who loves playing and teaching music. I have a Master's degree in Music Performance and Pedagogy from Memorial University of Newfoundland and have been in the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra since 2023. I've also been involved with the Strong Harbour Strings music teaching program since I moved to St. John's in 2022.
In my teaching studio, I create a supportive environment where students of all ages and skill levels can grow. I'm passionate about helping people find their musical potential, overcome challenges, and have fun making music. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, I'm here to guide and support you on your musical journey.
Lessons
Private lessons
I offer one-on-one lessons so you can have my undivided attention. With weekly classes, we can tailor the lessons to your individual needs and learn at your own pace. You can choose between 30, 45, or 60 minute sessions.
How I teach
For students younger than 11, the lessons are inspired by the Suzuki method. Parents or caregivers are encouraged to be involved, attend lessons, and help with practice at home. Reading music is not required to start; listening, singing, and movement are key parts of the process. Lessons will include new challenges and music that matches each student’s preferences and interests.
